Original air date: March 24th, 2016 – Now I know what you’re thinking. “DIDN’T YOU SAY IT TOOK 2 DAYS TO GET THE VOD OUT?! WHY DID YOU LIE?!”. Normally it does. Due to my schedule, the process involves the raw footage going out to my editor, getting fixed up, edited, polished and released at an appropriate time. There are a lot of things that can go wrong. Sometimes they don’t, in which case yes, the vod could have been up that day, but setting that expectation means that every time we fail, people complain. The 2 day delay is primary a safety net for when the vod does have problems like audio desync, missing footage etc (which happens more often than we’d like or it should). I personally cut and encoded this myself, encoded it at a much faster, potentially lower quality rate and uploaded it immediately. Yeah I know, you’re gonna say thats not hard. You’re right, it’s not particularly hard, but it is exhausting for me after an already exhausting show. It takes time away that I could and should be spending with my family, it screws up my schedule completely, it locks down my upstream for ages. There’s a reason for the way we do things. This time around we had to take a risk to get the show up in time for the sponsors requirements. We were very very lucky that nothing went wrong, as has a tendency to happen in live shows. Anyway, enjoy the show, we appreciate your viewership and hope you had fun. This was one of my favourite shows to date I think.
