It’s been a while now since the Office has come and gone, but the show’s impact certainly resonates to this day. It’s actually a bit insane that it’s still the #1 show on Netflix all these years later and dominates online meme culture. For all intents and purposes it’s still the biggest show in the world and it isn’t even on TV anymore. So shouldn’t it be about time for a movie? Entourage did it. Breaking Bad did it. It’s the norm for popular shows to milk a little extra at the box office with a culminating movie. But what would it be about? What would go down in said movie?
In this video, we’ll theorize what The Office movie would be about. We’ll discuss a couple of different possibilities, starting with the evolution of the Jim and Pam story. We’ll also discuss some secondary characters and how their time in the limelight is overdue. There’s also this documentary about the company that the whole show was based on but we never got to see. Ever wonder what that doc actually turned out like? Also, of course, there’s Threat Level Midnight.

You know what is one of the benefits of creating a series completely out of order. Not only can you put the best parts out first, hooking people on your story so they have to watch all of the proceeding entries, but you can also retroactively add in some sweet moments of foreshadowing in the prequel films that you make later.
Seems that George Lucas realised this, as he managed to add in a lot of small moments that contained connections to future films and, of course, the original trilogy.
Is it foreshadowing if it is connected to something that has already happened? Pastshadowing? That sounds just a bit weird, though it is more accurate. Eh whatever, we’ll just go with Foreshadowing.
