Less than a year after the release of the NES Classic, Nintendo has given the SNES the same treatment. Seeing how well the NES Classic sold and how many people complain about its lack of availability, it only makes sense for Nintendo to cash in on some nostalgia by re-releasing their amazing Super Nintendo console as the SNES Classic.

Now we all know the SNES Classic will be much smaller than the original Super Nintendo and it will include 20 of our favourite games, but there are plenty of lesser known features anyone interested in purchasing the SNES Classic should know. Of course, we can go on and on about how awesome Super Mario World, Kirby Super Star and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past will look in glorious high-definition, but what’s the fun in that? We all know these game will run and look great so in this video, we’re going to be focusing on the he facts you may not know about the SNES Classic.

Unlike in the original SNES, you can save your game at any time using the suspend point slots. If you lost your controller, it’s not a problem. Just use your NES classic controller instead. The eject button isn’t as useful as you think. Take nostalgia one step further and use the CRT filter to get that classic screen blur.
