This is the first ever MotorTrend Performance Vehicle of the Year, but this isn’t MotorTrend’s first rodeo. Since 1949, we’ve been awarding Car of the Year to a deserving participant so it only made sense to up the ante and show more love to its more fun and faster cousin: the performance vehicle.
