Sony made great strides in the handheld console market with the PSP, but they really upped the ante with the release of the PS Vita. Featuring the best of the Playstation 4 on a handheld device, the console delivers on gaming, streaming video, and all other types of content. If you enjoy using the Vita, then you should learn about the various different things the device can do.

Unlocking the screen can be annoying on any device and it’s no different for the Vita. Thankfully, you can quickly unlock the screen and get back to gaming as soon as possible with a fast trick. If you still love playing PSP games, then a few tweaks in the system’s menu will help improve the graphics and make them look even better on the Vita. If you own the PS4 and the Vita, then you can connect the two consoles for easy remote play access. Printed game manuals may be a thing of the past, but it doesn’t mean the PS Vita has excluded them. Learn how to access digital Vita manuals. Getting up for a second and having your Vita go into sleep mode can be annoying. Luckily, there’s a way to extend this feature and make it a lot easier to get back to gaming. Stay organized by creating main screen folders and having access to everything with just a few taps. Anyone with a Playstation Plus account can take advantage of cloud file saving when your internal storage is not enough. The PS Vita has the same exact controls as a PS4 and for good reason – the device can be used as a controller for the home console. OMG! I can’t believe that just happened! These are typical responses when youre playing a game and the developer whacks you in the face with a crazy twist straight outta left field.

Some twists hit you early, like Final Fantasy VII’S mid game shocker. Or look at Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare which literally drops a bombshell on you. There are the twists that wait till the last few seconds to blow your mind. A perfect example is Portal with a clever revelation shown through song. Of course, we can’t forget the historic reveal at the end of Metroid that created the first female protagonist in gaming, Samus. Then, we get to the life altering twists, the ones that make you question everything about the world. Bioshock does this beautifully with three little words. Silent Hill 2 makes an already terrifying game a hundred times more terrifying with its reveal.

Twist endings are nothing new, M. Night Shyamalan built his career on them! But, with these games they take the idea and warp it into something wholly original that challenges the player in a variety of ways. Which shocked you the most? Which do you think will be number one?
