Whenever Princess Peach is not getting kidnapped by Bowser or flirting with Mario, she is usually hanging out with her best friend and fellow princess, Daisy. Daisy made her debut in a solo Game Boy adventure, but the two have been inseparable ever since.
Fans have wondered for years if the Princesses are actually related. There is one official sign that points to it, but we’ll break down the whole history to give you a true glimpse. The two characters first showcased their friendship in Mario Tennis and expanded it through a variety of other sports. Daisy proved she is much more of a tomboy than Peach and even confronted Bowser before.
One thing keeping the two separate is the lands between them. Princess Daisy is from Sarasaland while Peach rules over the Mushroom Kingdom. The long distance doesn’t mean they aren’t related, but it does make it less likely. Mario is actually the one who introduced the two to each other so they didn’t know each other beforehand. If they were related, then they likely knew of it in the first place. One of the biggest clues to their relation was the publication of a player’s guide for Mario Kart Wii. In the guide, it stated the characters were cousins. This led to all types of false information that was later debunked by multiple sources and never confirmed by Nintendo.
