Within Dragon Ball Z, there are quite a heap of heroes and villains alike. Although it’s easy to distinguish which of the main series villains stand above the rest, it can be quite confusing when there are other antagonists or incarnations in between. The Saiyan saga was short, but it helped introduce us to Goku’s alien origin and roots alike. Raditz, Goku’s brother, was defeated with a sacrifice, but it paved the path for the future invasion of the Saiyan elite. Even after strenuous training from the Z-Fighters, the majority of them were easily stomped by Nappa. Once Goku arrived, he made sure to make both Nappa and Vegeta pay for their vile acts.
Once Goku spared Vegeta, he turned out to be a worthy ally in the attempts to defeat Frieza and his henchmen. However, even after the defeat of the evil space emperor, Dr. Gero’s mechanical demons arrived to slay humanity. Even as mighty as they were, Cell turned out to be the final boss at the end of the saga. After a beam clash that endangered the entire solar system came to pass, Cell was defeated at the hands of Gohan, and the Earth obtained peace once more.
After long years of peace, the Majin Buu saga emerged, and with it, so did even more powerful villains. As mighty as Cell was, the Z-fighters and the lesser villains already were on that level of power, if not beyond it. The pink terror of Majin Buu unearthed several super Saiyan transformations, alongside intense battles, and even the birth of Vegito, the most powerful Dragon Ball Z character within the main series that is. But, which of these villains truly stands above the others? Tune in to this awesome list to find out!
