In this episode of Hot Rod Garage presented by Lincoln Tech, we’ve got #Rollsmokey, our 12 V Cummins Turbo Diesel swapped 1973 D200, back in the shop for a complete handling overhaul. To deal with the 750+ft lbs of torque from the Cummins engine, we had to upgrade the Dana 60 rear-end with a Detroit Truetrac, and longer 3.54 gears. To make it handle, we upgraded all the suspension bushings to polyurethane, installed a quick-ratio steering gearbox, and replaced all the bushings and joints with fresh parts. To finish it off, a set of Heavy-duty shocks, and clipped 1-ton springs were installed to get a lowered street-machine stance. Watch Tony Angelo abuse this truck before and after upgrades in a tire-melting thrash session!
