As the crew rummage through the remains of the ship, Beverly makes note of the 232 patients she’s had in the last two days. She also wonders if she should hold onto a spare stretcher, just in case she needs a ride. All of these alternate ending scenes are available on the Special Edition DVD.
Star Trek Generations Deleted Scene 18: Shuttle Pick-Up
After burying Kirk on the mountain, Picard observes a shuttlecraft approaching him. Geordi and Worf exit from it as Picard explains that Dr. Soran is no longer a worry. Noticing the damage to the shuttlecraft, Picard inquires if there’s been a problem with the Klingons to which Geordi replies “you could say that.”

As Soran sees his last chance slip away, he rushes to the top of the mountain as the Nexus Ribbon passes through the atmosphere. Soran desperately tries to jump into the Nexus Ribbon, but ultimately fails. As Picard tends to Kirk, Soran angrily rushes them. Picard grabs Soran’s small phaser and blasts him in the chest. Ultimately defeated, the doctor falls to his death. As Picard looks down at Kirk, he dies without saying a word.

As Kirk struggles to live, he trips up Soran. Before he can do anything, the solar probe launches, but due to Picard’s tampering, explodes too soon.
Star Trek Generations Deleted Scene 17d: Alternate Ending 1
From behind, Kirk knocks out Soran with a backhand to the face. Picard tells Kirk “there’s a control PADD on his belt!” Kirk grabs the device and inputs some commands on it, affecting the launcher for Picard. Waking up, Soran grabs a small phaser from his boot. As Kirk quips “the 24th century isn’t so tough” Soran shoots Kirk squarely in the back.

As Picard continues to affect the launcher, Kirk begins to climb back up the mountain. With things seemingly well in hand, Soran checks his pocketwatch.

Fighting inside the superstructure of the staircase, Soran punches Kirk off the mountain. He grasps a rope and tries to hold on, but the rope gives way and he continues to slide down the rock face as Soran believes he has killed him.
Star Trek Generations Deleted Scene 17a: Alternate Ending 1
The infamous alternate ending to the movie. On the bridge, Kirk rushes Soran and knocks his weapon away. They begin to fight as Picard makes way for the launcher. He begins imputting random commands as Kirk and Soran continue to struggle.
Star Trek Generations Deleted Scene 16: Nothing here matters
An alternate take of the Picard-Kirk horseback scene. Kirk compares the Nexus to orbital skydiving; exciting for the first few minutes but not really accomplishing anything. Picard claims that “you needn’t be on the bridge of a starship to make a difference” and his request to “come back with me” is also said with more gusto than in the theatrical version. Kirk also adds that what Spock would say if he were present is right, but decides to go with Picard anyway.
