أوصت ندوة ‘تاريخ الكتاب العربي ودوره الحضاري’، التي اختتمت أمس بمكتبة الإسكندرية، بالعناية بالترجمة والنقل للعلوم في الكتاب القديم والمعاصر لدراسة مدى استفادة الحضارة الحديثة من تراثنا، وإمكانات استفادة أمتنا من الحضارة الحديثة عن طريق الترجمة والنقل، والتشجيع على التأليف والترجمة والنشر لكل أنواع المعارف، واعتبار ذلك استثمارًا مهما في مجال الإنسان، واتباع أساليب مدروسة في هذا الشأن حتى يؤدي هذا الاستثمار نفعه المؤكد دون طغيان الجانب النفعي والتجاري على الأهداف المرجوة.

وأكد المشاركون في الندوة أهمية تخصيص جوائز تشجيعية للأعمال العلمية الرائدة في مجالات التأليف والنشر والتحقيق والترجمة والإبداع في كل البلدان العربية.
من جانبه، قال مدير المشروعات بمكتبة الإسكندرية الدكتور خالد عزب: إن المكتبة تهتم بتاريخ الكتاب الذي بدأ في الحفر على الحجر حتى وصل إلى الكتاب الإلكتروني، مبينًا أنها تضم مركزين لدراسة تلك المجالات، وهما: مركز الخطوط والنقوش والكتابات، ومركز المخطوطات.
وأشار إلى أن قطاعي المكتبات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات بمكتبة الإسكندرية يهتمان بالكتاب الإلكتروني، حيث إن المكتبة تقدم أكبر موقع رقمي للكتاب العربي، والذي يقدم الكتب للجمهور مجانًا، ويجري تعزيزه كل يوم بالجديد من الكتب.
وشدد عزب على أن الندوة تمثل فرصة كبيرة لتوجيه دعوة لإنشاء كتاب مرجعي عن تاريخ الكتاب العربي منذ عصر الرسول الكريم عليه الصلاة والسلام وحتى الآن.

The massive big-block makes 1,275 horsepower between the fenders of a 2006 Holden HSV VE Clubsport R8. In American, that’s like a Pontiac G8. This display of overkill is the product of “Gup,” the promoter of the Powercruise series of events in Australia, New Zealand, and Minnesota (USA) where tire smoke is the rule. On the show, you’ll see tire fire from Gup’s infamous “Elvis” ’74 Holden HQ, from his 727ci Clubbie, from a 1,500ci diesel semi truck, and from Downunder’s most throttle-happy petrolheads on both coasts. The miracle is that Freiburger and Finnegan aren’t still in an Aussie jail. Of course, that might have been less punishing than the 30-hour flight home.
