Spend the day with Mr. Hot Wheels, Larry Wood also known as Elwood (like his initials L. Wood). Wood has designed Hot Wheels since 1969 and still consults on designs today. He has designed some of the most famous Hot Wheels ever, including the 1949 Mercury, the Boyd Coddington collector set, and the Ramblin’ Wagon. After graduating art school he worked as a designer for Ford and then in the aerospace industry, before moving to Mattel. We tour his garage filled with his artwork, streetrods, and years of Hot Wheels designs.
