In Oaxaca City, Daniel learns how to properly kiss—not drink—mezcal. In the town of San Jose del Pacífico, he tries out the local specialty, hallucinogenic mushrooms. Later, he dives into armadillo, iguana, and sea turtle eggs with a cook who is muxe, Oaxaca’s third gender, and on the glistening Pacific coast, Daniel accompanies skilled freestyle divers who fish for oysters and lobsters with nothing but picks and spears. Newcastle, England is a northern party city that’s rife with hen (a.k.a. bachelorette) parties, plus it’s a great place to grab a late night snack called parma, which is basically a pizza made with chicken instead of crust. But besides the debauchery and greasy post-bar snacks, Newcastle is an excellent city to drink a few pints of real, cask ale. So, we sent two of our Al-Kee-Hol correspondents, Adam and Patrick, out for a marathon of real ales that took them to some old, incredible English pubs. Watch and enjoy.
