Corvette Sinkhole Adventure in a 1975 Stingray! – Roadkill Ep. 27

Chevy runs deep! This time Freiburger and Finnegan find out just how deep as they visit the infamous sinkhole that opened up inside the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky. To do it Roadkill style, the guys find the worst Corvette they can buy, get it running after sitting for six years, break auto parts, experience gators firsthand, and visit the Corvette assembly plant. Finally, they try and convince the Corvette Museum to let them leave their ’75 Stingray behind……inside the sinkhole.

Everyone knows how to make a basic weed butter recipe. We figured if we’re going to make it, we’re going to make it as complicated as possible. So why not combine god’s gift to OCD, gadget-obsessed home cooks (the sous vide machine) with god’s gift to underachieving couch potatoes: weed? And you can’t just eat delicious gourmet weed butter all by itself, so we flew famed New York chef, David Santos of Louro, to Denver, Colorado to show us how to make the best marijuana meal the world has ever witnessed: perfectly roasted chicken—the kind that’s rubbed with weed butter under the skin—with wild mushrooms sautéed in the weed—ahem—pan drippings, and a pain perdu.

MUNCHIES: Bestia

Bestia, the word “beast” in Italian, is the name of the restaurant featured in our latest episode of Munchies. It’s owned and operated by the biggest promoters of PDA since Billy Bob Thornton and Angelina Jolie, Ori and Genevieve, who at the time of filming were expecting their first child. They’re in charge of savory and sweet, respectively, for their Italian food, which is also heavily influenced by Ori’s Israeli background. Our night started out at Craig Thornton’s supper club, Wolvesmouth, then moved on to local watering hole Tony’s. Since Genevieve was with child and couldn’t participate in imbibing, she demanded to order three slices of pepperoni pizza from Pizzanista, which—in our eyes—is a great compromise. Once we got back to Bestia, Ori cooked up his dad’s falafel recipe while Genevieve made what is quite possibly the best caramel popcorn we have ever seen, the snack she considers a pregnant woman’s dream.
