فى عام 1940 وقعت حادثة غريبة بمستشفى الأمراض العقلية فى مدينة ( يبسلانتى ) بولاية ( ميتشجين ) الأمريكية عندما اجتمع بذات المستشفى ثلاث مرضى يدعى كلاً منهم أنه المسيح
وظلت الفكرة مسيطرة على عقل كلاً منهم لسنوات دون جدوى من العلاج
حتى ظهر الدكتور ( ميلتون روكيتش ) والذى أقترح أن يوضع الثلاثة فى عنبر واحد ليلاحظ تصرفاتهم عندما يرى كلاً منهم شخصين أخريين يدعون ايضاً أن كلاً منهم هو المسيح
فبالتأكيد ليس هناك إلا مسيح واحد فقط .. فكيف ستفكر عقول المجانين الثلاثة
