While every gamer clearly has their favorite video game franchise, playing the same game for months straight can become tedious and even boring. After every side quest has been completed and every loot crate opened, the game can start to lose its spark. Once a player has lost interest in a game, the possibility of a replay diminishes.
However, some game developers see fit to release downloadable content from time to time in addition to the main campaign in order to keep things interesting and fresh. Some of the DLC campaigns are in addition to the main campaign while others are just one offs that add additional side quests to the game itself.
In special cases, some game developers see fit to release special holiday content for their games. Christmas and Halloween seem to be popular times for game developers to appease their fans with holiday content. From side quests to new skins, there are a variety of ways that game developers create seasonal joy for gamers. Halloween is one of the best holidays for seasonal additions to games. For games that allow character customization, there are a lot of options for developers to create new looks for their players. In games with RPG elements, there is the possibility of scary side quests for gamers to enjoy. Fans of the games on this list will not want to miss out on these amazing seasonal game updates from their favorite developers. Here are the best Halloween season game updates! Stay spooky!

Video games are one of the fastest growing entertainment products in human history. In just under 50 years, they have taken over popular culture and are now a multi-billion dollar industry. Video games themselves have changed drastically. We went from big arcade cabinets to home consoles to having mobile games be on our phones. We have even entered a new age of virtual reality. In it’s history, video games have gotten a bad rep being blamed for school shootings, violent tendencies and more. They have played the scapegoat for the uninformed majority, but recently games have done a lot of good.
Video games have a multitude of applications now from education to research and development. Video games have even helped save lives which is what we will be looking at today. Whether it is saving a life from half a world away or using what you know in video games, we will be looking at the times that the power of video games have saved actual human lives. Big thank you to Ivan @ Perth WAtch for the loan of this piece! It isn’t half bad. A few rough edges, but great Seiko movement and some character. Less than $75?!

Video games have been disappointing us for as long as we can remember. We’re still wondering how we keep being convinced otherwise. Anyone who went through the Candy Crush Saga addiction knows it’s probably not worth the time (or money) you wasted. After all, you don’t even get a real ending or any kind of reward for beating the game. The Wii Fit was a game which attempted to make exercise fun, but nothing can make it fun…not even video games. The Simpsons Road Rage reminds us of our childhood, but it also reminds us of where EA started making bad games just to make money. Shame on you EA and shame on us for buying it just because they stamped the Simpsons on the cover.
Oh, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare was wrong in so many ways. It was boring and we’re still trying to figure out why they wanted to make it futuristic. Just leave the space exploration for Jason X. Mario and Sonic go to the Olympics had us hoping for so much more. What could go wrong with two of Nintendo’s most popular characters? Apparently, everything. We had such high hopes for Star Wars Battlefront, but then EA made up the excuse the game was “just for kids” to satisfy gamers questions. At least, it was aesthetically beautiful and had the best explosions we’ve ever seen in a video game. If you hate wasting your time on awful video games and dislike when greedy companies take your money then you’re going to feel enraged if you join us as we take a look at some awful video games that made shocking amounts of money.

LG didn’t do itself any favors by waiting until October to release its V30 smartphone in the US, after first announcing it back in August. But it’s telling that, in the intervening weeks, I haven’t been able to go a day without someone on Twitter asking for an ETA on my LG V30 review. This is a smartphone that’s got people stoked.
Part of that is the natural demand for an underdog alternative to Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8, or curiosity about how much of the V30’s DNA made it into the LG-made Google Pixel 2 XL. But comparing the V30 to either of those competitors misses the point. The V30 isn’t just LG’s higher-end model for the fall; it’s one of the only three smartphones in recent memory designed specifically for shooting near-professional-quality mobile video. (The other two were its immediate predecessors, the LG V10 and V20.)
The V30 packs updates to the styling and specs of its forerunners, while tossing in more cinematography features like in-camera color grading and support for the Cine-Log format. It also brings its own version of the super-wide-angle dual-camera system that kept the LG G6 in my pocket for much of this year, and includes a 32-bit Hi-Fi DAC and 3.5mm headphone jack for the audiophiles in the audience. But with a price point starting at $800 and a selfie camera that falls far behind the quality of the primary shooter, will the LG V30 be able to live up to the hype created by its long road to release? Check out MrMobile’s LG V30 review to find out, and then hit up Android Central’s LG V30 Review for the deep dive!
MrMobile’s LG V30 Review was produced following seven weeks with a pre-production LG V30 review unit, and ten days with a production-ready LG V30 review unit, both provided by LG. The retail unit was an AT&T branded LG-H931 tested in Greater Boston and New York City, paired with an LG Watch Sport.
