Donald Glover, AKA Childish Gambino, has taken over all forms of media from music, television, and even film. This talented individual is the creator of the series “Atlanta,” which he wrote, directs, and stars in. Not to mention his hit songs, “This is America,” “3005,” “Redbone,” and “Sweatpants” to name a few. He has accolades a plenty, Emmy’s, Grammy’s, and even a Golden Globe. Maybe he’ll take home an Oscar one of these years now that he’s making a splash into the cinematic realm with major movies like “The Lion King,” in which he will play Simba, and “Solo: A Star Wars Story,” in which he will play Lando Calrissian. So it’s obvious, nothing is stopping this talented dude, but what is behind all the work and fame that we don’t know?

Could it be that he has a secret album from 2005, but actually started making his “real” music in 2008? Is it the fact that he grew up in a religious Jehovah’s Witness household that bred his curiosity of the world? Or potentially his first job writing on “30 Rock” for Tina Fey influenced his comedic ways even more? How did he land his role of Troy on “Community” by creating one of the first ever internet viral videos, “Bro Rape” by Derrick Comedy with his friends from New York University? Perhaps by keeping his family life a secret with his son Legend and partner Michelle that makes his such a renaissance man? But the solo fact that Kanye West has said to him that he wants to be Donald Glover makes us sold on this dude. And to make him even cooler, he was born on a Californian Air Force base…come on?! Does it get any cooler, that’s right…it doesn’t. So how does Carlton Banks from “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air” and writing his fears on hotel paper factor into all this…you’ll just have to watch and see…
