The spooky season is upon us once again, and that means revisiting some of our favourite scary movies. That means classics like Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th, as well as new favourites like The Babadook and It Follows. But sometimes we’re in the mood for something less heavy. In recent years, the Hotel Transylvania movies have scratched that same itch.

Over the past decade, the Transylvania trilogy has brought us good times with a cast of memorable characters, like Adam Sandler’s Vlad, and Selena Gomez’s Mavis. They are fun family comedies executed with unique and expressive animation.
