MrBeast Went Viral for Curing Blindness with Tech, But Most People Missed a Secret in His Video.

In January 2023, MrBeast released a video that changed YouTube forever. Instead of giving 1,000 people iPhones, he gave 1,000 people sight. And all it took, was a 10 minute surgery for each person.

But there is more to the video than meets the eye.

You see, doctors invented this tech in 1967. It works by sticking a needle in someone’s eye, then vibrating it so fast, you can’t hear it. This breaks up the cloudy lens blocking someone’s eye, so we can suck it out and replace it with a new lens. But if this was invented 50 years ago,

why did blind people have to wait until MrBeast’s video?

Well, where I live, the surgery is free. The UK has public healthcare. But in the US, that surgery costs 3 to 6 thousand dollars per eye. So the secret is this video easily cost $3 million dollars.
