If you only see one slasher movie, Halloween should probably be it. John Carpenter borrowed filmmaking tricks from Hitchcock, but Halloween is in a class of its own when it comes to slasher horror. So it’s no surprise that it inspired any number of sequels, reboots, and re-makes… But the original is one horror movie that’s not to be missed.
