The new #HyundaiSonata is one of the newest family sedans around for 2020 but Hyundai wanted to make sure its new Sonata wasn’t just the sleekest looking, but also the most performance oriented. When the 2021 #SonataNLine goes on sale next fall, it will be powered by a new 2.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder with an estimated 290 HP and 310 lb-ft of torque. All that power will go to the front wheels via an 8-speed “wet” dual clutch transmission. It will make the new #NLine Sonata the most torque rich entry in the segment and challenge the sportiest offerings from Honda, Toyota, and Mazda. This early prototype is about 90% finished but expect a follow-up video when #Hyundai unveils the finalized version of the N-Line.

The #MercedesBenzCLA class was the first-ever FWD based sedan here in America. It created quite the buzz when it came out 6 years ago but despite the controversy, Mercedes managed to consistently move around 20,000 units annually. For 2020, the CLA gets a complete redesign and #MercedesAMG is introducing the newest member of the family in the form of the #CLA35. It slots between the #CLA250 and #CLA45 and with 302 HP, #4MaticAWD, and a quick shift #AMGSpeedShift 7-speed DCT, #MercedesBenz says you’ll be able to sprint to 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds. It sounds like the perfect offering for the enthusiast who is looking to buy their first #AMG product as long as you can pony up at least $46,900 to get one when it goes on sale in early 2020.

Since it was introduced in 1989, the #HyundaiSonata has remained a very important vehicle for the #Hyundai brand. When the #Sonata first came out, it was seen as a low priced alternative to well established rivals and since then Hyundai has quickly elevated the Sonata to be at the top of its game. That was especially true for the 2011-2014 models but since then, the current generation hasn’t been enjoying the same kind of success, so Hyundai went back to the drawing board for 2020 with the #SensuousSportiness design language. The #BMWX2 has was designed to be a sexier version of the more normal looking X1 crossover in the lineup. Because of its more coupe-like design, BMW is offering a more performance oriented version of the #X2 for 2020. The #X2M35i is the first BMW to get the company’s most powerful production 4-cylinder EVER. This 2.0L turbocharged direct-injection engine is shared with the new 2021 Mini Cooper JCW GP and makes 302 HP and sounds fantastic doing it. BMW says you should get to 60 in under 5 seconds and the result is an SUV that looks, drives, and feels more like a grown-up hot hatch.

#Tesla shocked the industry with the introduction of the #Cybertruck on 11/21. The #TeslaCybertruck has been teased by #ElonMusk for a couple years now, and it has the usual impressive specs… 0-60 in 2.9 seconds and up to 500 miles of range on the Tri Motor AWD model. If Tesla can deliver this truck before its competitor and keep the base price at under $40,000, there is no doubt a lot of consumers will buy one, but why does it have to be so ugly?!

What was once twins in the Toyota showroom, the 2020 #ToyotaTacoma & #Toyota4Runner have grown to become more like cousins because the #TacomaTRDPro was moved onto a newer platform back in 2016. For 2020, both the #Tacoma and #4RunnerTRDPro get nice updates that include a new head unit that finally includes Apple CarPlay AND Android Auto… a first for a new Toyota product.
