[SONY XPERIA 1iii REVIEW]
Sony smartphones are weird – and in this context that’s a compliment. Honestly that’s why I look forward to a new one every summer: with the exception of foldables, no other phone pushes the envelope quite like a Sony Xperia. No one else is cramming a screen this sharp and a variable telephoto camera into a water-resistant chassis tall enough to stand out in a crowd. No one else has a camera division with a pedigree quite like Sony’s. And no one else is going as far to blur the line between professional and phone photography.
To test a phone like that, you need to give it a setting worthy of its stated skills – so I took it to one of my favorite places in the US to see how it tackled the monuments (and the mysteries) of Montauk. I’m Michael Fisher and this is the Xperia 1iii Road Trip Review!

[ABOUT MRMOBILE’S XPERIA 1iii REVIEW]
MrMobile’s Xperia 1iii Review was produced following approximately two weeks with an Xperia 1iii review unit provided by Sony. Tested on AT&T in Brooklyn and Montauk, NY (and points between).
MrMobile does not accept compensation from the manufacturers of the products he reviews in exchange for producing content. No payment was provided and no manufacturer or carrier was afforded a preview or copy approval rights concerning this review. The lone sponsor of this video is HelloFresh.
[CLARIFICATION]
As some have pointed out, the video footage being presented from the Cinema Pro app in Venice CS is not color graded, which of course makes it look much worse than it would otherwise. This was a production constraint on my part and I apologize for the confusion.
However, outdoor daylight footage is still often overexposed even after color grading, as can be seen in Patrick Holland’s video for CNET here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pe4t_f9mSvg. As such, my evaluation of Cinema Pro when paired with this camera stands – but I apologize for the confusing presentation.

[INTO THE FOLD EPISODE 8: MRMOBILE’S GALAXY Z FLIP 5G & MOTOROLA RAZR 5G LONG-TERM REVIEW]
When I first put on the MrMobile vest in 2016, I could never have predicted that by the end of the decade, the flip-top future tech I coveted as a kid would warp from novelty into fully-usable smartphones.
Since I bought the first Samsung Galaxy Fold in January 2020, I have exclusively carried foldables as my personal phones. Today my daily carry includes a Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 for weekdays, stepping down to the smaller Galaxy Z Flip and Motorola Razr 5G on weekends. And over time I’ve noticed a funny thing: while I can get more work done on phones like the Fold 2, I find the flips so convenient, so … fun … that even during the week I sometimes slip one of these into my side pocket instead of the Fold.
So as we approach a second summer of Folds and Flips, I want to share my experience from the past year of actually using flip phones in our modern era: from nostalgic whimsy to screen-splitting heartbreak. I’m Michael Fisher and this is your Galaxy Z Flip 5G and Motorola Razr 5G long-term review.

Samsung; Fossil; Motorola. These are the names that come to mind when you think about non-Apple smartwatches (with occasional cameos by other classics like Casio, Citizen and Montblanc). In this crowded establishment, the name “Mobvoi” doesn’t exactly stand out. But with its new TicWatch E3, the nine-year-old Beijing-based, Google-backed company has delivered something none of those other brands yet has: a smartwatch with silicon powerful enough to run very well today … and hopefully, tomorrow. Join Michael Fisher for a look at the second Snapdragon 4100-powered smartwatch to hit the Wear OS scene, in MrMobile’s TicWatch E3 Review!

LG Mobile is no more; the next generation of foldables is taking its time getting here; and the brand that phone freaks used to rely on to spice things up, OnePlus, has gone mainstream – with all the compromise that carries.
So when I saw that a new smartphone from Realme was about to expand beyond its initial China exclusive to a wider release – a phone powered by top-shelf silicon, with a leather backplate, pioneering charging technology and a price impossible to ignore … I decided it’s time I re-examine my rule about only covering mobiles that come to the United States. Because phones like the Realme GT? I’m tired of missing out on.

[UNIHERTZ TITAN POCKET REVIEW]
These days, if I’m showing you a phone with a physical keyboard on the MrMobile channel, odds are it’s in an episode of my “When Phones Were Fun” throwback series.
Well, not today. Whether you’re a BlackBerry holdout, a nostalgic rubbernecker, or something in between … there’s a new QWERTY keyboard communicator in town – the Titan Pocket, from Unihertz. Just like the last Titan, this one is a BlackBerry copy-paste in almost everything but the name … but this one got hit with a shrink ray to make carrying it much less cumbersome. Find out if that, plus the affordable price, is enough to make it worth your $299 … in MrMobile’s Titan Pocket Review!
