8 Appalling CGI Fails In Modern Movies
Cats Definitely Made This List And You Know Why

CGI has a mixed reputation. Although it’s often fun and sometimes even beautiful, it can also be very, very bad. Whether it’s applied too liberally, or just poorly done, there have been a lot of examples of sub-par CGI.
Take Cats, the most recent example. Although a lot of the CGI shortcomings in Cats can be chalked up to bad character design (a cat wearing a fur coat, cats with noses), much of it is also just bad CGI. There are the hands missing fur, the crotches that are (supposedly) missing bulges and the way that none of it quite seems to come together. It ended up being so bad that the studio (Warner Bros) released a second, polished version of the film, with some of the smaller mistakes corrected.
Kind of like what happened with the new Sonic, although they did that before the movie came out, rehauling the design of the movie’s main character to appease angry fans. Sonic is one of the few movies that has succeeded in this way. Justice League, like Cats, ruined a whole movie by spending $3 million to get rid of Mark Hamill’s Mission Impossible moustache.
But this practice is nothing new. From the Dwayne Johnson Baywatch and it’s very obviously fake fire, to the Dwayne Johnson Scorpion King in The Mummy Returns which, yes, is really Dwayne Johnson, CGI has been bad for a long time. Even Pixar has done it poorly.

10 Actor Bloopers That Made The Movies Better
These Movie Scenes Were Actually Bloopers!
Subscribe to our channel: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Screenrant
Welcome back ScreenRanters! We have a doozy for you today. We’re going to take a gander at when actor bloopers end up in the final cut. But only when the films are better for it! Unlike improvising, bloopers are down to mistakes. However, the mistakes don’t always end up on the editor’s cutting room floor. Sometimes, your favourite movie moments may be down to an error. Yep, it was mind-blowing for us too when we were researching the list!
Now, onto what you can expect to see in this fine media content. We do have a scene from the much-loved DC Batman film, The Dark Knight. It may involve a certain Joker portrayed by Heath Ledger. We also have one over at Marvel. It may involve Chris Pratt’s debut in Guardians Of The Galaxy. But if that doesn’t tickle your pickle, then we have some Lord Of The Rings action for ya. It also involves Sir Ian McKellen’s Gandalf struggling with hobbit architecture. We even have two Quentin Tarantino films. Django Unchained and The Hateful Eight! Let’s just say, Leonardo DiCaprio “smashes” it. We also have some comedy with Zoolander and Steve Carrell’s The 40-Year-Old Virgin! You’re welcome! Or see Dustin Hoffman create a stereotypical phrase for New Yorkers. He’s a real Midnight Cowboy. Hinty hint hint. John Malkovich is also going to pop in. So, get watching the video and have your whole life turned upside down!
