On this episode of Ignition, Carlos Lago heads back to Fontana and the mountainous roads of Angeles Crest Highway to tackle the newest update to the Audi S4, the considerably faster and more aggressive version of the popular A4 sedan. The 2013 Audi S4 is just as precise but with much more attitude and when equipped with the Sport Differential, the all-wheel-drive sedan rotates almost like one of its rear-wheel drive counterparts.
Will the new Audi S4’s V6T engine reign supreme over the previous generation’s V8? Will people even be able to tell the difference between the S4 and that A4? Stay tuned to find out.

An image of a galaxy collision captures only one stage of billion-year-long collision process. This visualization of a galaxy collision shows the entire collision sequence, and compares the different stages of the collision to different interacting galaxy pairs observed by NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope. With this combination of research simulations and high resolution observations, these titanic crashes can be better understood.

On this episode of Roadkill, it’s fun with Leaf Blowers. Experts on the Internet said it would never work. That’s never stopped Freiburger and Finnegan, and this time on Roadkill the guys put the theory to the test: can hardware-store leaf blowers supercharge an engine and make power? Step one was buying a ’78 Monza Spyder with a 305 V8 and a four-speed stick. Step two was to take it to the shop of HOT ROD Drag Week racer Jeff Lutz to tune it up, swap the engine to a 350, dyno test it with five leaf blowers, and do a whole bunch of needless burnouts. Step three was to drive the Monza to Willmington, Ohio, for the East Coast Timing Association’s Ohio Mile event, a standing-mile race where they’d find out if leaf-blower power adds up to more speed in the real world. The outcome? Who really cares? Because on Roadkill, it’s always about the adventure. And more burnouts.
