Having reviewed the Mercedes A45 AMG at its launch, we know its 355bhp engine makes it a real weapon, dispatching 0-62mph in 4.6 seconds. But, it’s also hugely expensive for a hot hatch, especially when you consider the thrills dished up by the slightly cheaper BMW M135i and much less expensive Volkswagen Golf GTI. Is the A45 AMG really good enough to justify its premium price, and how will it cope with the Welsh roads?
