Having already placed the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG ahead of the F10 BMW M5 in the battle of the supersaloons, here we pitch the latest entrant against the mighty Merc. That car is the Jaguar XFR-S, the fastest saloon Jaguar has ever built. It costs nearly £15,000 more than the standard XFR, but it packs 542bhp from its supercharged 5.0-litre V8 — and another 39bhp. But the question is: can it outgun the sublime 549bhp E63?
