Filmmaker Interview from Slamdance 2015: The Trouble with Dot & Harry – Cinefix Now

The CineFix team went to the Slamdance Film Festival, and had the chance to sit down with Gary Walkow, who directed “The Trouble with Dot & Harry,” completing his film trilogy, which started with Sundance Grand Prize winner “The Trouble with Dick” in 1987 and also includes his 2007 film “Crashing”. Slamdance Film Festival takes place every year in Park City, UT, and is an outlet for first-time, low-budget filmmakers to have their work speak for itself. (But, we also asked Walkow to speak for his film as well.)

He’ll discuss what it was like directing his own children, Dot and Harry, who star in the film, the changing landscape of independent film, and much more.

GoPro: High Altitude Paragliding

In La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, David Geiser and Jeremy Peclard push the limits to achieve the world’s highest double paraglide jump from a hot air balloon. After requesting an aerial traffic control authorization, the team reached a max altitude of 6050 meters (nearly 20,000 feet). Due to the extreme heights, the paragliders and balloon pilots were supplied with oxygen from the hot air balloon before the drop.
