After years of several stories on film, it’s hard to find a narrative that’s 100 percent original. Everything seems to take inspiration from something that’s come before. But sometimes, Hollywood hits rock bottom creatively, and two different studios work on movies that have nearly identical plots. The phenomenon is known as Twin Films! On day three of 2015 SEMA Week Powered by Nissan, Super Street Editor Mike Sabounchi walks the floor of the show to see what is “hot in the Streets” in the Tuner world. The floor is filled with some awesome cars that are right up his ally. He checks out a rare nissan sunny with a front end you won’t believe and follows that up with a great interview with Robert Fergurson from Good Show and his Boss Aero Kit Rocket Bunny 240SX. After a day under the light of the conventions, Sabounchi head out to a runway and challenges his co-hosts in a 1/2 drag in a 1100hp GTR, but there is a twist!

2015 SEMA Week Powered by Nissan begins on Monday, November 30 on the Motor Trend Channel, with a whole week of videos dedicated to bringing you an exclusive inside look at SEMA, the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world.

SEMA Week Powered by Nissan culminates on Friday December 4th with a War of the Worlds grudge match. Each host will leave SEMA and travel to an airstrip in the California desert with a hand picked vehicle from their respective market which they will line up for one epic head-to-head drag race for ultimate bragging rights!

Dawn: A Journey to the Early Solar System

NASA’s Dawn mission was launched in 2007 on an circuitous journey to study the two largest members of the asteroid belt. The spacecraft visited Vesta in 2011-2012, and arrived at Ceres in 2015. The study of
these objects tells a story about the early solar system in the region between Mars and Jupiter. Cameras, spectrometers and the precise location of the spacecraft have revealed geological, compositional and physical facts about Vesta from which we derive its evolutionary history over the past 4.5 billion years. Compared to Vesta, Ceres is twice as large, has a distinctly different density and composition, and did not suffer the massive collisions of the former. While there are no known meteorites on Earth that have come from Ceres, about 1 of every 7 meteorites on Earth is from Vesta. Come hear the latest findings from an ambitious asteroidal adventure.
