Luminous blue variable stars showcase a spectacular and rare unstable stage in the death of massive stars. These supergiant stars can rapidly and unpredictably change both their brightness and spectra in outbursts that can last for decades. Some giant eruptions produce nebula that surround the star. Although known for centuries, the identification of the underlying physics remains elusive, and new behaviors continue to be discovered. Long programs of periodic monitoring have produced important pieces of this, as yet, unsolved puzzle. Understanding this dramatic phase will help complete the sequence of massive star development and delineate the progression to the final stellar death as a supernova explosion.

A whole game is built up all the way to the final boss battle. Getting through levels, solving puzzles, and taking out countless enemies all in an effort to reach the final boss and declare victory on your opponents. For some games, it’s a little more simple than this. You may spend hours and hours getting through levels, only to kill one of the main bosses with a single hit and in a matter of seconds. That’s exactly what happens in the following ten games.

The Legend of Zelda series is known for its long battles and missions through various areas. In Zelda: The Wind Waker, things go by pretty quick for one boss if you plan things just right. The Kalle Demos boss can be defeated instantly thanks to a nice little trick. If you enjoy a classic western shootout, then you will love the boss battles in the Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood. Every boss battle is a one shot shootout that requires precise aim and timing. In Metal Gear Solid 3, you don’t even have to make it to the end of the game to face off against The End. Not only can the character die of old age, but you can actually snipe him in an earlier level. Final Fantasy is known for battles that can take hours at a time. That is not the case for Adamantoise, a main boss within the game. The whole point of playing titan Souls is to defeat enemies with just one shot. Other one hit boss battles come from games like Skyrim, Super Mario Bros., Halo 4, and Dark Souls 3.
