With the popularity of video games, the video gaming industry has taken full advantage of the public’s interest in games and released a wide array of games for any and every player’s tastes. From MMORPGs and first person shooters, there is a type of game that caters to nearly every player’s tastes. In fact, there are games available that most players didn’t even know they needed or wanted.
While these games may be awesome, they often don’t make a whole lot of sense. For example, finding love with a bird while human may make most gamers scratch their heads at the concept, but there’s someone out there in the world that enjoys that type of gameplay. Have you ever wanted to roll over everything on earth and then fire that ball of trash into the sky? Katamari Damacy has you covered even though the plot is somewhat nonsensical. If you’ve ever wanted to experience life as a dog rapper, there’s a game for that as well. Even if your deepest, darkest wish is to be an octopus father, game developers have already released just the title for you. Unfortunately, some of these games don’t make much sense, plot wise.
That’s not an issue, however, as long as gamers are having fun. In fact, even the strangest games available may help out game developers. Let’s face facts, while working on the next Call of Duty franchise may be a lifetime career goal, even developers need to branch out and make a weird game once in awhile in order to keep their imagination fresh.
