Spider-Man: Far From Home Will Introduce Green Goblin And The Sinister Six

Spider-Man: Far From Home is swinging into theatres this summer but an apparent leak has many people talking about the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We have no idea if this leak is accurate or not, so take what we’re about to reveal with a giant grain of salt but maybe also be aware that this can be considered a spoiler should the leak turn out to be accurate. The leak, found on Reddit, states that the after credit scene for Spider-Man: Far From Home will see the formation of the Sinister Six, with Norman Osborn implied as being the benefactor of the group thanks to a shot of the Oscorp Tower inhabiting the old Avengers Tower. It’s a pretty neat reveal should it turn out to be true and it opens up a ton of possibilities for the MCU to play around with, including having Parker interact with the Green Goblin in future installments to the Goblin take out Parker, just like he did in the comics. The addition of Mysterio from a different reality in Far From Home opens the door to other characters from other dimensions coming over to the MCU; could we see a live action version of Miles Morales come to the primary timeline, just like what happened in the comics? One thing is for certain: Green Goblin is one of Spider-Man’s most fearsome and deadly nemesis and getting him into the picture with the likes of Vulture, who knows that Peter Parker is Spider-Man, is sure to spell trouble for the friendly neighborhood web swinger.

On Fourth of July weekend, there’s going to be some major fireworks — but they’re all going to be at the movie theater when Spider-Man: Far From Home gets released. Before Peter Parker swings back into action, let’s dive deep into what has happened, where the story could go from here, and cover some of the biggest movie rumors to date about the film.

Spider-Man has had a huge impact on the MCU and Far From Home can help lay the groundwork for the whole connected universe moving forward. Spider-Man joining the MCU was a dream come true for superhero fans and he couldn’t have come at a better time. Through a crossover deal with Sony, Spider-Man swung into action for some scene-stealing moments in Captain America: Civil War before launching into his own solo movie. There has been so much build up in the world of Spider-Man and the MCU. Upon multiple viewings of Avengers: Endgame and the closing moments, the high school scene may have even more significance than we realized. In the background of one of the shots appears to be actor Ben Mendelsohn in the role of an administrator for the school. For those of us that saw Captain Marvel, Mendelsohn played a Skrull in the movie. If he’s working at Peter’s high school now, could the actor be one of the first signs of a Secret Invasion?
