Yeah, so the Seestern is probably 20% better than the Frog in most areas, bracelet, lume, clasp, caseback etc. It is better than the Doxa in some areas as well! Let’s see if they do indeed release V2s of each watch. Maybe that will be a future Watch Boxing Special. Cheers, Jody

Thansk to Joma for sending this one in. You don’t have to go all in on a $1000 Casio to get a great, lightweight Japanese grab and go. There are a few monas and niggles, as per, but I am warming to Citizen as a brand and Ec-Drive as a tech this year. Just so damned sensible. I must be getting old. Cheers, Jody

OK, so I’m not exactly on the pulse with these two but still valid pick ups nonetheless. The ‘King’ extras make such a difference to the Samurai case. Love the ceramic bezel particularly, but this one still has its fair share of ‘Seiko Signatures’. The 5 Field is just perfect for me in terms of the size, so much nicer than the SNZG/SNK pair for the average wrist. Shame about the clasp. Cheers, Jody
