I am in a bit of a quandary over this one. How can a company produce a watch that is so close to a vintage design, and yet manages to look a bit kitsch at the same time? I love making these videos! I think I’m becoming a sticker peeling fetishist….. The boxes are similar, but these two are pretty different. The Formex hasn’t left my wrist since I made the video, and hasn’t lost a second. It is everything I was hoping it would be. The Tuna was a bit of a surprise, to be honest, in a good way. I love a flieger, and this one is really rather good for the money. Spec it your way, built to order, hand finished, Made in Germany, classic looks, less than $500USD? Obviously it doesn’t have the lineage of a Stowa or a Laco, but how much is that worth to you? Double? It makes a very strong case for itself and I’m keen to sample something else from the company.
