SPOILERS AHEAD! MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SEEN ENDGAME BEFORE WATCHING THIS VIDEO!

So The end of Avengers: Endgame brought with it a lot of emotional moments. As one would expect from a film that is essentially the end of eleven years worth of stories.

Of course, this also means that a lot of characters’ arcs came to a close as well. Including the star-spangled man himself, Captain America.

Now, at the end of Endgame, Cap was sent back to the past once again in order to return the Infinity Stones (and Mjolnir) to the times and places where the team took them from in order to avoid branching timelines.

After doing so, he took the opportunity to live the life he always wanted with the love of his life, former director of SHIELD Peggy Carter. We’ve followed Peggy’s journey through the first Captain America movie, during her death in Civil War, and on the ABC television show, so it’s nice to imagine her reuniting with PEggy after-all.

It was quite the touching ending. However, this touching-ness was a bit overshadowed by the sheer amount of wonky-ness that this ending introduces.

From timeline splitting impossibilities to the existence of two Captain America’s concurrently. Yea, that’s some really serious stuff right there. So before your brain gets more frozen than Cap laying in a pile of ice — let’s break everything down and analyze exactly how this could work in Endgame. Old Man Steve Rogers actually was very clever in his plan, he just didn’t spell it out on screen for the rest of us.

At first glance — Avengers: Endgame seems to have a relatively happy ending. Thanos was defeated, the actions of the snap have been reversed, and a ton of heroes have been brought back from the dust. Sure, we lost Iron Man and Black Widow along the way — but it was all for a greater cause — or was it?

Instead of going back to the moment before the snap and preventing it from happening, our Avengers reversed the actions of the snap FIVE years in the future. While the snap may have taken just a second — and dealt some damage to Hulk’s arm — there are some MAJOR implications and impacts which could make the whole thing EVEN worse than when Thanos did it in the first place? Don’t believe us? Well, let’s go on a journey beyond the story of our heroes to dive deep into the implications of returning half of ALL LIFE into the universe.

Who can forget the montage of happy moments during the final moments of Endgame. Scott Lang sits with a resurrected Hope and his daughter — who is now five years older. And then there’s the shot of Peter Parker — after traveling through space and turning to dust for five years, he seemingly returns to his normal high school life, meeting up with Ned like nothing happened.

While these moments may seem cheerful, happy, and optimistic, the reality of reversing the snap FIVE YEARS after the original comes with some major consequences. As shown when Hulk reversed the snap back and we see life return in the form of a tree and some flying creatures, confirming that the snap eliminated more than just humans — it wiped out half of ALL living things.

Actor Mark claims to be relieved the movie is finally out and you might be surprised to know just what has him so relaxed.

Welcome back to Screenrant! Just a quick warning: If the title didn’t give it away already — there’s going to be some MAJOR Endgame spoilers in this one!

The five year jump in Avengers: Endgame completely changed our characters as we know them. Besides Thor letting himself go a bit, one of the biggest transformations has to be between Bruce Banner and the Incredible Hulk. Through some off-screen experiments, the two forms molded into one as a permanent green monster often referred to in the comics as Professor Hulk. While the new take on Hulk was refreshing to see — the character definitely didn’t pan out like we expected it to.

So what went wrong? Well, we’ll tell you! While Banner’s smarts definitely come into play, there was a lot more potential for the character to shine on the big screen in Endgame. The Incredible Hulk has had quite the journey in the MCU. After the largely ignored or forgotten debut of the character in Edward Norton’s 2008 solo film, the Hulk remained an active co-star in other movies like the Avengers films and Thor: Ragnarok. His stories would play out through these films, in small bits or moments where we got to know the character and his journey as the scientist struggled to control the monster inside of him.

From Thor: Ragnarok to Avengers: Infinity War — and now Endgame, a three movie story arc put the internal struggle between Bruce Banner and Hulk right in the middle of the external battle with foes like Hela and Thanos. After the events of Age of Ultron, Hulk controlled Banner’s body for two years, taking him on a space adventure which eventually ended up on the planet Sakaar. Banner was able to return briefly in Thor: Ragnarok, before Hulk took over again. A lashing from Thanos resulted in Hulk hiding away in Banner’s body for a majority of Infinity War and we never see the true separate character again.
