Which brings us to a discussion of Kickstarter (and Indiegogo) as a force in modern Indie filmmaking. More project by prominent names are getting crowd funded – most recently, “Con Man” a web series by Alan Tudyk of Firefly.
On the blockbuster side of things, we have confirmation that Lex Luthor is bald. And it’s a relief to see that Jesse Eisenberg has a reasonably normal-shaped head: http://goo.gl/FNIzKi
Also, the X-Files is coming back, which has a lot of people around here whistling a certain theme song. It’ll be a six-episode limited series, in the BBC style, but most importantly, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson will be in it: http://goo.gl/RF7t9M
Steven Spielberg has signed on to direct the adaptation of Ready Player One, which is interesting, because Steven Spielberg’s filmography appears in the story: http://goo.gl/CQLcUy
