European Car Magazine Turner GP! – Tuner Battle Week 2015 Ep. 4

The 2015 European Car Magazine’s annual Tuner Grand Prix is focused entirely on the Volkswagen Golf. Tuners’ from as far away as Canada have showed up to show off what they can do with Germany’s hot-hatch. From GTIs to R32s and Golf Rs, we find out who can squeeze the most performance out of the platform by competing in drag racing and road racing at Autoclub Speedway in Fontana, California. We also bring out a stock, 2015 Golf R to set some control times and even get racing legend Boris Said behind the wheel for the road racing. Super Street Magazine and Continental Tire has teamed up once again to bring you the 7th annual FF Battle!! FF Battle is an open invitation to anyone who thinks they have a fast Front Wheel Drive Front Engine car to come to the track and prove how fast they are. This year’s event was a one day “Time Attack” style competition where we invited our competitors out to the infield course of California Speedway to see what their cars could do on a set of Continental Tires. Find out who wins in a field stacked with Integra Type R’s, EG Hatchbacks, Super Charged Civics, B18 Swaps and plenty of VTEC roar!

First Annual Super Street Show Car Shootout! – Tuner Battle Week 2015 Ep. 1

The first annual Super Street showcar shootout by Continental Tire was an event that combines the best of the show car scene with the thrills of driving on a racetrack. The Show Car Shootout is an open invitation to anyone with a fast show car to take their car to the track and see what it can do. We allowed everything from Supra’s to Lancer EVO’s to WRX Sti’s to Godzilla aka the GT-R to compete in this event. The rules are very simple, drive your car at the track and see if you can get the fastest time. This year, it was a two day event at the California Raceway in Fontana CA. Day one, the competitors stretched their car’s legs at the infield road course, and day 2 took our competitors to the 1/4 mile drag strip. This is the one event where we solve the question, Is it “All show and no go or not?”

383 Chevy vs. 383 Mopar! – Engine Masters Ep. 3

It’s our first head-to-head shootout with two engines: a Blueprint Engines crate Chevy 383 small-block versus a hand-built Mopar 383 by Engine Masters host Steve Dulcich. To make this a fair test, we equalized as many variables as possible: both engines use the same carburetor and the same type of ignition, intake manifold, camshaft, compression ratio, oil pan, and oil. Both use the best iron cylinder heads available from the OE manufacturer. So what’s your guess? Which engine will make the most average horsepower and torque? Find out the surprising answer and have some fun with David Freiburger, Steve Dulcich, and Steve Brule in this episode of Engine Masters, presented by Amsoil.

Street “Legal” Stock Car Body Swap – Roadkill Ep. 46

The Roadkill guys finally did what they’ve been planning for three-plus years! Long ago they bought a late-model circle track race car and planned to drive it to the Deep South, but the car could not be insured because it had no VIN. Solution? Install a body that has a VIN! That’s exactly what you’ll see in this episode, as a 1970 Chevy Monte Carlo is transformed into the beast now known as the Nascarlo! It even drives on the street! And races on the dirt track! But suffice it to say it does not all end well. Roadkill is powered by Dodge and supported by Eastwood Company, Dickies, and Optima Batteries.
