1993 Nissan 240SX Part 4: The 240SS Is Born! (With the Help of an LS3) – Ignition Ep. 120

It’s happening! On this episode of Ignition, Carlos Lago and Mark Lenardon finally do what they’ve been talking about for so long: Install a Chevy E-Rod LS3 and T56 Super Magnum into our 240SX. Our CARB legal setup (that’s right, it’s street legal) makes 430 horsepower and 424 lb.-ft. of torque. What’s even better is that it doesn’t change the weight balance of the car. This episode starts with the install of the driveline, continues with a drive on the road and a visit to the test track so we can see the improvements, and ends with a shakedown run by Randy Pobst at Streets of Willow race track. How will the car perform? Watch and find out!

SEMA Drag Race: Hellcat vs Blasphemi vs Jeep FC vs Sonic! – 2014 SEMA Week Ep. 5

We’ve reached the final day of 2014 SEMA Week brought to you by 76, and only we would dare to bring this ridiculous mix of vehicles together for a grudge race on an unprepped airport runway. Fred Williams, Jessi Lang, Mike Sabounchi and Mike Finnegan begged and bribed SEMA Show exhibitors to loan them vehicles for a ¼ mile drag race and, though Finnegan and Sabounchi failed, the group still managed to acquire a Jeep riding on tank treads, a fresh-off-the-floor 2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat, the infamous Hemi-powered ’55 Chevy Bel Air from Roadkill, and a turbocharged 2013 Chevy Sonic to do battle.

The racers are as different as the cars. Finnegan lives in the world of hot rods, Lang regularly pilots the best the OEM carmakers have to offer, Williams spends all of his time in the dirt, and Sabounchi hops up every compact car on the planet. Who will come out on top? Watch and find out!

OEMs & SEMA After Dark with Jessi Lang! – 2014 SEMA Week Ep. 3

Day 3 of 2014 SEMA Week brought to you by 76 is all about Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) with Motor Trend and The J-Turn host, Jessi Lang. Over the last decade, OEM representation at the show has steadily increased, and for good reason, as SEMA not only lends insight into the trends that drive demand, but also serves as an anything-goes playground where OEMs can connect with the aftermarket, and let loose. This year’s turnout included an expansive Ford display that centered on the Ford Mustang King Cobra; a diverse Toyota booth that included the ultimate sleeper Camry and the FT-1 Concept; Chevys for days, including Commemorative Camaros and two Corvettes recovered from the sinkhole disaster; and Roush, which showcased not only their vehicles, but the punishment their vehicles can take, by beating them up, day and night, with drifting ride-alongs.

Tuner Cars and a 1200 Horsepower Nissan GT-R! – 2014 SEMA Week Ep. 2

On day two of 2014 SEMA Week, Super Street Editor Mike Sabounchi walks the floor of the show to see what is “hot in the Streets” in the Tuner world. There are tons of builds that catch his eye. A completely hand controlled LS-Powered drift beast piloted by Rob “ChairSlayer” Parsons, and a one of a kind 2JZ-GTE powered Altezza built for time Attack are two very notable builds. The stars of the show have to be: the only Rocket Bunny Nissan Silvia S15 in the U.S and the only Rocket Bunny NSX in the world. Mike also makes sure to pay the guys over at Mackin industry a visit to see what’s new in the world of Volk Racing and Advan Wheels. Eventually, he finishes his day at the Garrett Turbo booth to get up close and personal with a 1,200 Horsepower Liberty Walk Nissan GT-R R35.

Hot Rods and the World’s Fastest Street Cars with Finnegan! – 2014 SEMA Week Ep 1

On Day 1 of 2014 SEMA Week brought to you by 76, Roadkill’s Mike Finnegan journeys to Las Vegas in search of the ultimate street car, the latest speed parts, and new fabrication tools. During the show Finnegan track tests Chevy SS Camaros with parts taken from the Chevrolet Performance Z28 and ZL1 programs, gets shut down by every single person he approaches about borrowing their car for a drag race, and meets the infamous Farm Truck and AZN from the hit television show, Street Outlaws. Finnegan leaves SEMA with sore feet, a sore liver, and a fiendish plan for the upcoming grudge race with his Motor Trend Channel co-hosts.

2014 SEMA Week begins on Monday, December 1st on the Motor Trend Channel, with a whole week of videos dedicated to bringing you an exclusive inside look at SEMA, the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world.

SEMA Week culminates on Friday December 5th with a War of the Worlds grudge match. Each host will leave SEMA and travel to an airstrip in the California desert with a hand picked vehicle from their respective market which they will line up for one epic head-to-head drag race for ultimate bragging rights!
