Now that the new Sonic the Hedgehog movie has officially hit theatres, fans can breathe a sigh of relief over the fact that Sonic looks so, so much better than his original design. Sure, we knew that they had corrected it by the time the second trailer was released, but we still weren’t quite sure. And now it turns out that the combination of the awesome design, a great voice by Ben Schwartz, and a classically amazing performance by Jim Carrey all come together to bring us a pretty awesome Sonic movie!
It’s clear in some parts that the filmmakers are huge fans of Sonic and wanted to throw in as many easter eggs and references to the games as possible. And yet, they weren’t afraid to make some pretty huge changes as well, some which worked out better than others.
Right off the bat, one of the first things we noticed that was different was the way Sonic had blue arms! We’re so used to seeing the classic character with his beige arms to match his stomach, that when we caught a glimpse of his furry blue limbs, it caught us a bit off guard. At least they toned down his super muscular legs for the final result, so we weren’t too put off by it.

One of the most pointless things ever made in the Fast & Furious franchise is a short film meant to bridge the gap between The Fast & The Furious and 2 Fast 2 Furious. Even the title is dumb: The Turbo Charged Prelude for 2 Fast 2 Furious. If the prelude for 2 Fast 2 Furious is the worst of the bunch when it comes to the Fast Saga, then the sequel film is right up there with it. Universal couldn’t deny the success the first Fast and the Furious movie had. It instantly propelled Vin Diesel into a huge action star — so big he wasn’t ready to return to the franchise just yet. 2 Fast follows Brian’s adventures in Miami.
