So this movie feels like Groundhog Day (the 1993 comedy with Bill Murray waking up to greet the same reoccurring day everyday) meets Call of Duty or Terminator where Cruise wakes up every morning having to fight the same alien war over and over again… This really get to a guy after a while, don’t ya think? What’re you guys’ thoughts? Is it going to be awesome? Who’s read the book – are we worried about the film adaptation taking liberties from the novel? Let us know your thoughts on Edge of Tomorrow in the comments below.

Behind the Webb: All Sewn Up (Episode 21)

The James Webb Space Telescope’s tennis court-sized sunshield is made of a special material called Kapton. But finding Kapton this size is impossible, so engineers must assemble pieces in order to make the sunshield the proper size. This episode of Behind the Webb shows us how the sunshield becomes the proper size and how it’s being tested to ensure it will withstand the rigors of space. (Please note: Some parts of the video are obscured due to the proprietary processes used to make the sunshield.)

“Behind the Webb” is an ongoing series that follows the construction of the Webb Space Telescope, Hubble’s successor. Find more episodes at Hubblesite.org.

Lola T70 replica vs McLaren MP4-12C: the ultimate production and kit cars

If you’re going to take inspiration from a race car, you may as well borrow from the Lola T70 — the world’s fastest race car in 1966. But can the GD T70 Spyder beat a McLaren 12C?

Built by Lola, raced in the Can-Am championship by John Surtees, the Lola T70 is one of the most beautiful race cars ever made. So it was a good point to start when Gardner Douglas began development of its T70 Spyder. It weighs just 900kg, but develops up to 700bhp from a range of GM V8 engines. But can it outhandle one of the world’s most able series production supercars, the McLaren MP4-12C? Steve Sutcliffe takes to the track to find out.
