1937 Delahaye 145 Franay Cabriolet: Grand Prix Racer Turned Roadster – Pebble Beach Week

Motor Trend’s Angus MacKenzie speaks with owner Sam Mann about his 1937 Delahaye 145 Franay Cabriolet, a car that began life as a Grand Prix race car and then was converted to a roadster in 1945 by French coach builder Franay. This was one of only four 145s built by Delahaye, and is considered one of the front runners for “Best of Show” at this year’s 65th Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

Classic Ferraris Celebrate the Pebble Beach Road Races – Pebble Beach Week

Motor Trend’s Angus MacKenzie is on hand as an amazing collection of classic Ferraris – including three 166 MM Barchettas, two 340s, a 500 Mondial, and an 857 Sport Scaglietti Spyder – gather to honor the Pebble Beach Road Races. The Pebble Beach Road Races ran in conjunction with the original Concours d’Elegance in 1950, and attracted some of the finest race cars ever built to compete on the winding roads of Pebble Beach’s scenic Del Monte Forest.

Motor Trend’s Angus MacKenzie talks to owner Jim Patterson about his 1932 Isotta Fraschini, an Italian car with a Swiss body and a huge 8 liter engine that originally showed at the 1932 Paris Auto Show. It’s one of the longest and most impressive vehicles in the running for “Best of Show” at this year’s 65th Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
