Comic Book Origins: Amanda Waller
Subscribe: http://goo.gl/Q2kKrD
DC’s Amanda Waller, sometimes called the White Queen, is known as one of the smartest villains or antiheroes of the comic world. Having had a hand in the Suicide Squad, A.R.G.U.S., and Checkmate, this government official uses her smarts, her political connections, and any means necessary of getting what she wants in the DC universe. Some famous actresses who’ve played Waller include Pam Grier in Smallville and Cynthia Addai-Robinson on Arrow. You can see Waller in DC’s Suicide Squad played by Viola Davis, and features fan favourites like Deadshot, Harley Quinn, and the Joker.

As with most comic book characters, there are often re-imaginings and different versions to a character’s past. We have chosen primarily to follow the storyline which unfolded in 1987’s Secret Origins #14 and which was expanded upon in 2011’s Suicide Squad #0 and 2012’s Team 7 #0.

HISHE Swag: How It Should Have Ended
If you don’t know what a Galaxy Note is, it’s basically the reason your smartphone’s gotten bigger with each upgrade. Today, Samsung’s oversized and overpowered phablet family gets a sixth generation – and it’s called the Galaxy Note 7. Samsung says that skipping the “6” brings it in line with the Galaxy S7’s branding, and the similarity to the smaller smartphone is striking indeed – especially on the spec sheet. With a much larger screen and the signature S Pen stylus, the Galaxy Note 7 is still a different beast – but has the Note line lost some of its luster this year? Join MrMobile for the Galaxy Note 7 Hands On, and stay tuned for the Galaxy Note 7 review coming later this month!
Special thanks to Mark Guim and Andrew Martonik of Android Central, who shot some of the footage for this hands-on and provided other logistical support. See Android Central’s Galaxy Note 7 first impressions here:

[ABOUT THIS VIDEO]
Michael Fisher’s Galaxy Note 7 Hands On was filmed with several preproduction review samples provided by Samsung prior to the Note 7 announcement at an in-person briefing in San Francisco, CA. This is a first-impressions video; MrMobile’s ultimate conclusions about the Galaxy Note 7 will come with the full review later this month.
