With Avengers: Endgame just around the corner (end of April, guys!), theories are being conceived on a daily basis regarding who might be the most important character in the highly-anticipated Marvel Studios offering.

Just who will land that finishing blow on Thanos, make the decisive play, or sacrifice themselves for the good of the universe?

The truth is, it could be anyone – the cast of characters in the movie is huge – but we think we can rank them in order of who the most likely MVP will be.

The characters in question are (in order from least likely to most likely); a character we haven’t been introduced to yet, Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury, Sebastian Stan Bucky Barnes, Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther, Josh Brolin’s Thanos (yes, he might repent!), Tom Hiddleston’s Loki, Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie, Vin Diesel’s Groot, Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch, Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow, Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye, Bradley Cooper’s Rocket, Paul Bettany’s Vision, Dave Bautista’s Drax, Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk, Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man, Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange, Zoe Saldana’s Gamora, Karen Gillan’s Nebula, Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel, Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man, and Chris Evan’s Captain America.
