Avengers: Endgame had so many things to do. It had to wrap up the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe – a saga that has developed over the course of twenty-two films and the past decade – but it also had to tease the MCU’s future. And the reality of having such a long-running series made by multiple different filmmakers is that there’s sure to be some mistakes made along the way. We’re not talking about film quality, we’re talking about plot holes. And while it’s not Endgame’s job to retroactively fix all these plot holes, it actually addresses one or two in a surprisingly efficient way. It doesn’t fix all of them, but the fact that the Russos tried to solve some problems is admirable.

The MCU has plenty of plot holes to sift through, event starting as far back as the first Iron Man. But one of the biggest, earliest plot holes involves Thor’s Rainbow Bridge being destroyed in the first Thor film and mysteriously re-appearing intact for Thor: The Dark World. There’s also the infamous ‘Eight Years Later’ title card that opened Spider-Man: Homecoming and doesn’t make a lick of sense.

While the above examples are still left unsolved, Endgame did address a particular plot hole from Avengers: Age of Ultron. This plot hole involves Loki and a certain scepter that was mysteriously captured by Hydra without any explanation. It’s also possible Endgame addresses some of the plot conveniences of certain films like Ant-Man and Doctor Strange.

Let’s take a deep dive to determine how Endgame addresses these plot holes while leaving others up in the air.

Avengers: Endgame brought an end to the last eleven years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a pretty satisfying way. Thanos is now gone for good, left as nothing but dust in the wind (cue the violin solo) but with him, we also lost several of our favorite heroes. Chief among them being the original MCU champion, Tony Stark, aka Iron Man.

And his absence will be felt moving forward, but does he have to be gone for good? Is there a way that Robert Downey Jr. could make a return to the MCU?

Perhaps they could borrow something from the comics? Could have him pop up as a hologram like he did following the events of the second Civil War arc, serving as a digital mentor for Riri Williams, aka Ironheart, as well as donning the armor himself.

Or maybe an alternate universe version of the character could pop up. Maybe from the Ultimate universe, or even go with a crazy option such as the Sorcerer Supreme version, Doctor Anthony Stark from Earth-TRN591.

Part of what makes Disney movies so enticing is their incredible characters. We have fallen in love a million times over with heroes that rise above their status and prove themselves despite their dire situations. It never gets old! But as much as we love a Disney good guy, it’s the bad guys that keep us coming back for more. Something about their wicked ways and amoralistic tendencies are so captivating. They are often cunning, manipulative and downright sociopathic to the point where they are endlessly fascinating. Simba would be nothing without his need to defeat Scar and Mulan needs to take on Shan Yu to save her country. Without these villains, our favourite Disney films would not be the same. Today we will be looking at the backstories of 25 Disney Villains and uncovering the mysteries behind their twisted minds.

As you’ll discover, some will actually be more layered that you think and have motive for their bad behaviour. We found out that Gaston from Beauty and the Beast suffers from wartime PTSD and that Hades from Hercules hates his job and just wants to move up the ladder. While they are not necessarily justified for their actions, you will at least see that they aren’t bad for no reason. On the flip side, you’ll learn that some villains are worse than they seem. We will reveal that in the original version Sykes from Oliver and Company kills his girlfriend and that the jealous queen from Snow White actually thinks she’s eating the young girls liver in the first version! We’ll be providing you with a mix of messed up origin stories that were watered down for young audiences, and some tales that will have you empathizing with even the most horrible of characters. Buckle up!
