Thanks again to Mr P for the loan of his box-fresh Miyako! I’ve kinda been avoiding this one because I wasn’t convinced by the looks. I like the dial and hands more than I thought I would, but now I am moaning about the bracelet and strap options! Look, if you are a fan, then go for it, but I prefer their more tool focussed offerings. Cheers, Jody

Well, yoou can’t win them all, I suppose. I had been looking at that Epoch for years but something had always stopped me from buying it. Something was right! It’ll make for an interesting mod project though, and the other two are crackers. Cheers, Jody

Thanks again to Jason for the loan of another watch and a ‘virgin’ too! Good to see that a soalr quartz model has been so popular. And good to see that Seiko have worked some of their magic and made this one bigger, but not any heavier. Spooky! Cheers, Jody

There is a fair old tidal wave of affordable GMTs at the moment. Is this the best one? Well, if you like your watches on the lighter side, like I do, then it may well be a great choice for you. Better at $69 than $549, though, quite clearly! Cheers, Jody
