Back to the future, or back to ‘Nam? As will be explained, this one should really have preceded the 153 review but Mr X doesn’t have quite the pull he thinks he has! Will mine survive until the SOTC video next week? Stay tuned to find out……… Cheers, Jody

Kickstarter 2/4 this month! I don’t think the market is saturated quite yet, but it is certainly more saturated than it was a couple of years ago. For a $300, NH35 powered dive watch to succeed, it has to offer something different. Is the MMI Turret different enough? You tell me. Cheers, Jody

For many, the Skyraider, and especially the skeleton version, remains the top of the Zelos ladder. This truly is a stunning watch, but is by no means perfect. If you want to tell the time accurately and easily, this isn’t the one for you, but if you want arguably the most striking watch possible for the money, step right up. Mine has a few bits of crap in the caseback. I’ll be keeping my eyes on it, a flaw definitely worth pointing out to prospective purchasers. Cheers, Jody

With 580+ orders already in the bag, it just goes to show that there is a big demand for somethign other than dive watches. Ivan at Vario has long ploughed his own furrow, and if the success of the 1918 is anything to go by, he’ll be a fixture on the micro scene for a long time to come. I have issues with the movement and the length (or lack thereof) of the Bund strap, but the enamel dial looks amazing and $250USD is a very fair price, I think. Cheers, Jody
