Phoibos’ first GMT! Yay! And it’s quartz! Oh, erm…

I know that will polarise opinion, so I’m looking forward to the comments section on this one. For the price, a Ronda quartz is a no-brainer, and if you are OK with that, there is an awful lot to like about this Eagle Ray GMT. It looks pretty sensational for a watch at $180, and wears very nicely indeed. Quality looks spot on, plenty of lume, sapphire etc etc. If you are in the market for a no nonsense travel watch, this should definitely be on your list. Cheers, Jody

I think this is the third Ciga Design watch I have had the pleasure of reviewing on the channel, and I have kinda liked them all, they sure are different. Not for everyone, clearly! But judging by the success of the campaign, this one had found its target market and no mistake. Another Laco today, and it does indeed have a sting in the tail. The bracelet. It isn’t very good. Easily fixed by making a better one! It is a shame because the rest of the watch is pretty sweet for a clean and modern German diver. Cheers, Jody
