Well, I wasn’t expecting much of this one, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised. You don’t get Casio quality, but you do get a serviceable digital module and something that looks pretty good, for a fraction of the cost of a metal G. Cheers, Jody

Its a monster alright! I really wanted to love this one, but I just can’t. Maybe a bit too much marketing spin for its own good? And maybe they didn’t see the design through to either end of the spectrum, ie a true professional dive watch, or a stylistically very interesting everyday piece. The new king of the $200 big brand divers! No doubt about it. In fact, I’m struggling to think of a micro that can take this one on for $200. Go for green/blue/burgundy for a splash of colour, or sensible black for a long term relationship! Not perfect, how could it be, but a change of bracelet would really seal the deal I think. If you fancy a deco style dressy piece, you really don’t have many options. It is just as well this is a good one then eh?! $320USD buys a lot of nice detail on the dial and hands and a very sweet wearing little watch. Perhaps just be aware that the hands do rather vanish on this variant though. Cheers, Jody
