I review a lot of Kickstarter stuff. This is the very top rung of the ladder IMHO. Just gorgeous, a proper, original design, all the right specs, tastefully branded, great colourways, and a great price for the first 48 hours. I suspect this one will do very well indeed. Cheers, Jody

It has actually been a while since I did a personal double unboxing, so here one is! The Oris is a bit of a flip ‘n’ rebuy, as I owned the 80th Anniversary colourway last year. DAMN YOU ORIS for releasing more and more attractive colourways! And how did I miss the Vostok? A GMT for $77USD (not without limitations, but still). Let’s see how they both go long term. Well, perhaps not the video that Ben woudl have made had he made one, but I had fun sniffing for bargains. Did I find any? The Lorus will be regifted to my overweight uncle, I do like the red HMT, and the Casio is a Casio, so was a great buy. A couple of duds though, like the Oschtin and the smart watch. Another Kickstarter blah blah blah blah? Well, this one has some knowledge and experience behind it and from what I can gather, they have made a rock solid, chunky wee watch. It does get kinda expensive once you start adding on straps etc, so first in best dressed, especially if you like your divers with a bit of dead horse attached. Cheers, Jody

I really haven’t reviewed many tank style watches, especially not ones with acid green chapter rings, Romans, and yellow lollipop second hands! I doubt it will sell in big numbers, but watches like this are a breath of fresh air in an industry saturated by dive watches, so good on them! Cheers, Jody

I was a big fan of the RLG Odyssea 2, so I had high hopes for this one. A few odd choices, but overall, it is still a stunning looking piece for the money. Cheers, Jody
