With the recent release of the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo fans are eager to see what titles will make it onto the new console. Fan favorite titles such as Mario and the Legend of Zelda have already been added to the lineup, but what else does Nintendo have in store?

Animal Crossing has been a fan favorite game since the first title was released in 2001. While Nintendo has released six Animal Crossing games in total, the series itself has basically gone nowhere as none of the spin off can compare to the first title. Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp was released for mobile phones at the end of 2017, but fans want more. Do you want to see Animal Crossing on the Nintendo Switch? Video games and movies have had a sour relationship for years. Video games based off movies have been awful and the same seems to happen when movies are created based off video games. The plots never feel right, the acting can be horrible and viewers end up just wanting to play the game instead. This is especially frustrating when awesome games are turned into terrible movies. It can destroy the reputation of a game.

Street Fighter was filled with some great characters, but they didn’t translate so well on the big screen. Alone in the Dark is an awful mess with even worse casting and acting. Mortal Kombat: Annihilation completely destroyed any chance of the franchise returning to the big screen. Doom had a great cast, but was plagued by poor writing and plot decisions. Double Dragon turned a basic game into a convoluted adventure with terrible action sequences. House of the Dead has everything going wrong for it, even though the original arcade game is a classic. Wing Commander is as cheesy as it comes with movies and is based off a game that never needed a movie adaptation. Assassin’s Creed got big budget treatment, but feels nothing like the original game series. Need for Speed was a lame attempt at creating a new racing franchise to compete with Fast and Furious. Super Mario Bros. fans will never forget the disaster that was their live action movie. Character designs and plots were nothing like the original game. Watch to see all these awful movie adaptations!

When you’ve been around for 30 plus years, people know a lot about you and this is the case for Super Mario. The gaming hero has appeared in hundreds of games and helped lead the way for console after console from Nintendo. Now as people explore his long Odyssey, it’s a great time to look back and see the weirdest things we’ve learned about Mario.

Mario has always been known as a plumber, but when he wasn’t getting his shoes dirty in the pipes, he was getting his boots dirty in the Vietnam War. The war game was pretty shocking and something we haven’t seen Mario do since. Mario’s love affair with Princess Peach has gone through some bumps along the way. This includes some time rescuing Pauline, including the same exact time he was supposed to be saving the Princess. Mario is known for his power-ups and killing enemies by jumping on their head. It wasn’t always like this. Mario’s original power-ups included a lot of different options including various weapons. Everyone loves to criticize the Super Mario Bros. movie, but things were a lot worse at the Ice Capades in 1989. Bowser sings, Peach has a weird accent and it’s as cringe-worthy as you could imagine. Mario’s true age was recently revealed and it sent shockwaves through the gaming community. How could Mario actually be THAT old?! Here are 5 weird facts you never knew about Mario!
