After the awe and surprises found in the first season of Amazon Prime’s The Boys, we can finally slow down a little bit — take a breather there, A-Train. OK, good. Now that the dust has settled a bit and all of Translucent’s skin has been cleaned up, it’s time to open up the doors to the surveillance van and reveal some of the biggest things you missed in The Boys season one. When The Boys was first published back in 2006, the comic book series drew up a lot of controversy for the graphic content. A couple of Deadpool movies later and audiences were ready for some more risque superheroes, but the initial casting options had aged too much to fill the roles. The Boys kicks off in one of the more surprising ways — especially if you’ve never read the comics. As Hughie walks down the street with the love of his life, Robin, her body gets blasted through by A-Train, only leaving Hughie clutching her lifeless hands. While we marveled in the slow-motion effects and horror of the moment, it was pretty easy to miss out on the clever Batman reference.

Avengers Endgame will go down as the movie of the decade in terms of sheer entertainment value and payoff. That’s because it was the culmination of over ten years of storytelling and the second part of an almost six hour epic when combined with Infinity War. The movie’s runtime was around three hours in length, but it could have been longer if these scenes made the final cut. Bear in mind that these scenes are only from the final battle, meaning that there was actually more that was cut during the first and second acts. One of the more traumatizing moments that didn’t make the final cut involved Thanos. He was initially supposed to lob 2014’s Captain America’s head onto the battlefield in front of the 2023 Avengers but as you can imagine, this scene didn’t make the final cut-but perhaps not for the reason you’re thinking.

Kraglin, best known as Yondu’s number two in the Guardians of the Galaxy films, would have had his own moment to shine too in the sky during a dog fight but seeing as this was a boots on the ground kind of battle, they sadly scrapped his big moment from the movie. Likewise, Black Panther’s Okoye and Ragnarok’s Valkyrie would have had a team up scene together, which would have resulted in the duo swapping their respective weapons for a small period of time.

What wouldn’t have been a small period of time was a three minute mission report scene…in the middle of the battle. This was broke the flow of battle and went on for way too long and the scriptwriters weren’t even big on it, so they weren’t surprised that it got axed. What is slightly more surprising is what Tony saw after he snapped his fingers while wearing all of the Infinity Stones.

Up until recently, Avatar was the highest grossing film of all time. It’s a decade old, but still holds up as one of the most visually stunning movies to ever grace the big screen. It tells the story of the Na’vi, a species of human-like creatures that live on the moon-planet Pandora. Only, Pandora has a bunch of natural resources that the humans want, and we all know how that story goes.

In this video, we’ll be looking at the Na’vi, and more specifically, their origins. While it might seem as though they’re native to Pandora, you shouldn’t be so sure of that. One theory states that the Na’vi were actually genetically engineered by humans. Another suggests that they’re actually an alien species who landed on Pandora and adapted to the ecosystem. Or perhaps the whole planet is just the result of debris being launched off earth when the asteroid hit millions of years ago. This is how The Na’Vi Are Not Native To Pandora In Avatar.

IT Chapter 2 is out and it’s got us properly scared. A great way to keep the nightmares at bay is to remind ourselves that this is, in fact, a movie and that, behind that horrifying spider-clown is a makeup team and an actor. Here’s a look at some of the coolest behind the scenes facts.

There is, of course, the CGI. Not the effects that turn Pennywise into a spider, but the touch-ups that keep Finn Wolfhard, and the other young losers, looking 13-years-old. There are also practical effects, like the cosmetic adjustments done to Jeremy Ray Taylor or the strictly enforced falsetto policy.

The cast got up to all sorts of stuff on set too. First of all there were the gifts. Bill Skarsgård took something out of his own mouth to give Andy Muschietti, the director; Finn Wolfhard tried to give Bill Hader a gift but Hader was creeped out; Jessica Chastain gave thoughtful, successful gifts to the whole cast. Speaking of which, the cast only had one moment when they were all together over the course of the whole movie!

There were many surprises from Bill Skarsgård throughout the filming of the movie, who proved himself better at being creepy than CGI, going all-out to create a scary atmosphere for the poor cast of kids. The effects team, though, did keep up their end of the bargain, even setting records during the shoot. After all the blood and gore and lazy-eyes, after taking over a small town in Ontario for months, they eventually finished and, maybe most importantly, a lot of the cast members are now best friends!
