Playing With Fire (2019) – In Theatres November 8 – Paramount Pictures

When straight-laced fire superintendent Jake Carson (John Cena) and his elite team of expert firefighters (Keegan-Michael Key, John Leguizamo and Tyler Mane) come to the rescue of three siblings (Brianna Hildebrand, Christian Convery and Finley Rose Slater) in the path of an encroaching wildfire, they quickly realize that no amount of training could prepare them for their most challenging job yet: babysitting. Unable to locate the children’s parents, the firefighters have their lives, jobs and even their fire depot turned upside down and quickly learn that kids (much like fires!) are wild and unpredictable.

What The Heck Is HBO’s Watchmen Series?

Is HBO’s Watchmen supposed to be a sequel to the graphic novel, a reboot, or something in between? Subscribe to our channel: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Screenrant

The HBOs Watchmen looks like it will atone for all of Zack Snyder’s Watchmen-related sins (Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice remains unforgiven). But how exactly will Lost writer Damon Lindelof fit his new show into Watchmen past?

Well, the short answer is that he’s ignoring the 2009 movie. Instead of adapting the exact story of the comic like Snyder did, Lindelof is, in his words, “remixing” the comic into the 21st century. Where the comic was about the Cold War, the new show will be about the resurgence of racial tensions in America.

The show takes place 30 years after the events of the book, in a Tulsa Oklahoma that combines the comic and real life. It incorporates the real world by starting the show with a scene of the Tulsa Massacre of 1921, where the most affluent black community in the country was wiped out by an angry white mob. It also incorporates the squid-pocalypse that killed half of New York City, but ended the cold war in the Watchmen comic. It is in the shadow of these two events that Watchmen unfolds.

In Watchmen’s alternate 2019, the police wear masks, after being targeted by a white supremacist terror group called the Seventh Kavalry. Some of the detectives even get to wear full costumes like Sister Night, whose getup is half-nun-half-batman. There is also her co-cop, Looking Glass, whose reflective mask is an apt update of Rorschach’s ink-blots. Speaking of which, the Seventh Kavalry have appropriated the erstwhile trench-coated vigilante as a symbol of their hate, each of them wearing a version of the classic Rorschach mask from the original comic.

Spider-Man: Far From Home Deleted Scenes That Could Have Changed The Movie

Scenes that were cut from Spider-Man: Far From Home! Subscribe to our channel: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Screenrant

Spider-Man: Far From Home is out on Blu-Ray and Digital now and with that home release comes a ton of behind the scenes goodies, including deleted scenes. It’s always interesting to view the scenes that were cut from the final movie and wonder if they should have really stayed in the final version that makes it to the big screen.

Some of the deleted scenes in Far From Home make sense to have been cut. These include some vlog style videos done by Flash Thompson. While the vlog bit worked in Civil War, it doesn’t work as well with Flash. Likewise, Peter’s t do list is hysterical and charming but is also a bit long and breaks up the pacing of the movie. Likewise, a catchup scene with the rest of Peter’s class, as he’s meeting with Fury’s agent, doesn’t serve any larger purpose.

However, some scenes should have definitely stayed in, such as Spidey versus the mob, a scene that made it into the re-released version of the movie. A scene with Quentin Beck acting like a total diva is also great as Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio was a highlight of the movie. A scene on the plane home may have been short, but it showed Peter finally sitting down next to MJ, cozying up. After that flight, Aunt May tells Peter that he’ll eventually grow into his new glasses, made by the late Tony Stark. So once you’ve seen these cut scenes, we’d love to know your take as to which are your favorites and which you think should have stayed in the movie, if any at all.

Marvel Theory: There Will Be 4 New Avengers Teams By Phase 5

We could be seeing a lot more Avengers teams form in MCU Phase 4! Subscribe to our channel: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Screenrant

Avengers Endgame shook up the Marvel Cinematic Universe by changing the line up of the current Avengers team forever. Steve Rogers grew old while Black Widow and Iron Man didn’t get to see the end of the movie. Now, with Phase 4 on the horizon and 5 surely follow afterwards, fans are looking forward to what may come. And with the help of Disney+, we may get some interesting developments.

One such idea is that there may be multiple Avenger teams by the time Phase 5 has started. At this point in time, there is no Avengers movie slated for Phase 4. But through Phase 4, there are some interesting developments. One of them is a slew of Disney+ originals, including Moon Knight and WandaVision. Many of these characters fit nicely with the idea of a West Coast Avengers ensemble.

Likewise, a certain character who was present at Tony’s funeral takes up the mantle of Iron Lad in the comics. Could Young Avengers be on the horizon? Kate Bishop is going to be part of the Hawkeye show. There is also word that Marvel has toyed with the idea of a Dark Avengers movie, which will see the villains become the heroes. Characters from the Black Widow and the Disney+ shows will be perfect for these roles, alongside Norman Osborn.

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. With the Fox Merger, Marvel can now use Fantastic Four and X-Men. Could Illiuminty be on the way? How will the New Avengers look with the likes of Black Knight and Richard Reed on board? Times are changing and it’s going to very interesting in the future.

10 Things You Missed In Dreamworks’ Abominable

Did you catch any of these little secrets and Easter eggs in Abominable? Subscribe to our channel: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Screenrant

Abominable stomped into theaters have nearly ten years of development was able to snag to top US box office spot along the way. But, between all of white fur and globe-trotting adventures through China, there were several moments in the Dreamworks adventure you may have missed.

With a setting in China and a lot of emphasis on the culture, it was only natural for the filmmakers to cater parts of the film to the Chinese audience. In many cases, the English to Chinese translations were changed to help punch up jokes and appeal to the Chinese culture. For example, there’s a moment in the film where Burnish encounters a group of whopping snakes. Watch the video to see all of the changes! Whether you believe in yetis or not, without a real-life whitre fur monster to base designs off of, the process is pretty much an open book. Instead of opting for a standing yeti as seen in movies like Monster’s Inc., the design team in Abominable chose to keep Everest an animal who preferred to be on all fours a majority of the time. Yi has a strong passion for playing the violin, something we see pretty early on in the movie. While alone on her rooftop, Yi plays the strings beautiful in an epic animated sequence. While the music was moving, you may have felt your stomach grumbling a little as well. The reason? As the camera pans around Yi while she plays, look in the background and you will spot a McDonald’s inspired billboard hanging on one of the buildings.

From worldwide differences to some pretty revealing mistakes, learn about all the things you missed in Abominable — including a whole new way you will look at the film’s villain Burnish.

Disney Is Going To Kill The Movie Theatre

Disney’s master plan to change movies forever.
Subscribe to our channel: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Screenrant

It’s no secret that Disney has been dominating the box office in recent years. With their huge franchises like Marvel’s Avengers, Star Wars, Pixar and more- they’ve made billions and billions of dollars in movie theatres.

But 2019 was a particularly insane year for Disney at the box office– maybe even SUSPICIOUSLY good. 2019 is seeing some of their biggest titles ever, like Aladdin, The Lion King, Avengers Endgame, Toy Story 4, Frozen 2 and Star Wars Episode 9: The Rise of Skywalker.

Is it just a coincidence that they released all their most popular, end-of-an-era cinematic event films in the same year that they’re launching Disney Plus? Maybe– but also… probably not.

In this video we’re going to take a look at the idea that maybe, just maybe– Disney went all-out at the box office in 2019 because… they don’t want to keep releasing movies in theatres for much longer.
